There are a couple of ways you can join the team here at Littleriver.
We offer a range of options to suit a range of experience levels. Our team consists of yard staff, coaches, and volunteers.
We welcome applications at any time for the following positions.
COACHING
Our coaching team is a small, passionate and supportive group. We welcome applications from both experienced coaches and those wanting to get into coaching.
All applicants need to be passionate about coaching, have solid riding knowledge, be kind and fair.
For those wanting to get into coaching we offer a training program which works towards coaching your own lessons. This is adapted to each individuals level and suits anybody interested in coaching who doesn't have a large amount of experience.
Yard Staff
Our yard staff have a range of jobs they do depending on their days/hours.
All applicants need to have experience handling a range of horses, be confident covering, handling, lunging and feeding, be passionate, hard working, willing to learn and kind.
Yard staff must be capable of working independently and have initiative.
We also welcome yard staff applicants who are interested in our coaching training program at the same time.
Volunteers
Our volunteer jobs range depending on the individuals experience.
Current child riders are welcome to apply to volunteer after school hours or on teacher only days. Children must be capable of following instructions and they must be independent enough to not need constant guidance.
Jobs for after school volunteers range depending on level from filling waters, sweeping and weeding to catching horses, gearing up, feeding, helping beginner riders get on and leading.
Adults are welcome to apply to volunteer during the day. You must have at least a base level of horse safety knowledge, be independent and show initiative.
Jobs range from sweeping, cleaning, filling waters, weeding, painting to grooming, hand walking, mucking out and more.
We greatly appreciate our volunteers, they make what we do possible and we couldn't do all that we do without them. xx
