Meet some of the horses
Lily
Lily has been part of our family for around eight years. She is a buckskin crossbred, 13.2hh and 17 years old. She has taught many of our riders and helped achieve lots milestones included first shows for a few of our riders. She loves snacks and adventuring.
Tussock
Tussock is an 16 year old 13.2hh Kaimanawa who is privately owned by one of our students.
We are very lucky to be able to use him in the school.
He is super sweet and safe, a really cruisy pony that loves cuddles.
Shine
Shine is a 20yr old Palomino Quarter horse.
His wonderful owner has leased him to us to enjoy the school life.
He is a great teacher, with a Western background and a very comfy jog. He's not fazed by much at all and loves getting out and about.
Indi
Indi is a 20yr 15.1hh TB who we are super grateful to have with us on lease.
She is super neat horse who loves getting out and about and will stand for hours being fussed over.
She's done it all from endurance to pony club to competing in showjumping and eventing.
Gracie
Gracie is a 13.2hh 13yr old Welsh cross.
She is a super sweet pony, with lots of experience in the show ring and is very nicely schooled.
She loves attention and is great for all levels, from lead rein riders to those working on their jumping and dressage moves.
Winter
Winter is a 14.1hh bush pony. She loves people and is always up for an adventure, whether that's going over the farm or exploring the barn.
Fun fact! When she was younger her name used to be Wanna because everyone wanted to ride her!
