Meet some of the horses
Lily
Lily has been part of our family for around six years. She is a buckskin crossbred, 13.2hh and 15 years old. She has taught many of our riders and helped achieve lots milestones included first shows for a few of our riders. She loves snacks and adventuring.
Tussock
Tussock is an 12 year old 13.2hh Kaimanawa who is privately owned by one of our students.
We are very lucky to be able to use him in the school.
He is super sweet and safe, a really cruisy pony that loves cuddles.
Sarge
Sarge is a 14.2hh 16 year old Kaimanawa x Arab pony. He is a first pony for his rider and we are fortunate enough to be able to use him for the school.
Sarge is super sweet and has schooled to level 3 dressage.
Zyla
Zyla is a 13.2 17yr Kaimanawa mare. Zyla is great at teaching first trots on the lunge and super reliable doing games with all levels.
Zyla loves adventuring and is very patient.
Charlie
Charlie is a 15.2hh TB who is 16yrs.
He is owned by one of our students and we are lucky enough to be able to use him in the school.
He is a schoolmaster who has been around the block and came to us from a riding school down south.
He loves jumping and snacks.
Maz
Maz is a 14.2hh 27yr old Standardbred. He is owned by one of our students and we are fortunate to have him in the school.
He used to do endurance and is super chill.
He is a forward ride and loves adventures.
Summer
Summer is a 13hh kaimanawa x Welsh who is 24. We are super lucky to have Summer here on lease with us. She is a great teacher and is great to teach first canters, trots and first little jumps. Summer loves trekking and is an ex endurance pony.
Cheeko
Cheeko is a 20yr 12.2hh Welsh x who we are super grateful to have with us on lease.
He is super neat pony who has taught many children to ride.
He's done it all from hunting to pony club to competing up to 1m showjumping and eventing to pre training level.
